Balance Massage

About Us

Sports and remedial massage incorporates deep friction and trigger point work on muscles which are chronically tense. It is also effective at breaking down scar tissue and adhesions and stimulates the removal of wastes via the circulation. It stretches and mobilises the soft tissues, particularly helping muscles subjected to over-use. These techniques are recognised as being useful for those participating in sports and exercise since treatment at an early stage can prevent unnecessary complications and hastening the rehabilitation process. It can be extremely beneficial for many muscular, tendon and ligament injuries, or conditions and the following are just some examples: Back ache Neck pain Tense or painful shoulders Bicep or tricep injuries Hamstring injuries Quad injuries Knee injuries Calf muscle(gastrocnemius) injuries Achilles tendon injuries Pre-event massage is extremely effective at helping to prepare the body for action, optimise performance and minimise the risk of injury. Ideally, this should be performed no later than 2 days before the event. Post-event massage helps the muscles and other soft tissues to recover and is also provides an opportunity to detect any injuries. Ideally, this should be performed no longer than 2 days after the event. For sports people who train or compete regulary, for those with physically demanding lifestyles or particular conditions, regular between event or maintenance massage is advised. Taping and strapping for specific injuries is also available. Aching muscles or joints? You don't have to be a sports person to benefit from sports(remedial) massage.

I have separate treatment rooms for sports massage and the more relaxing forms of massage such as holistic massage, Indian head massage and Balinese massage as I believe that the environment plays an important part in the overall treatment. There is a comfortable wating area where hot and cold drinks are available free and seperate toilet facilities. There is ample off road car parking. I am happy to discuss home visits for people who may be experiencing particular mobility difficulties.

Establishment: My business has been established since August 2011, some three months after qualifiying with ITEC as both a Sports Massage Therapist and Holistic Massage Therapist with. I initially worked from the house but now have a separate 'portacabin' clinic in the grounds.

Areas we cover: My current clients travel from areas such as Wisbech in Cambridgeshire, Peterborough in Cambridgeshire, Kings Lynn in Norfolk, Spalding in Lincolnshire and surrounding areas.
