Founded in 2005, it all came about from a trip to one of the big toy barns with floor to ceiling plastic toys. As a family, we love board games and having ventured over to Northampton to our local Toys R Us store to buy a new game, I left saddened that the toy industry had become obsessed with plastic, batteries or fad toys... Where were all the 'proper' toys that I grew up with? Rather than do nothing, I set about to make a difference. I went out and hand selected a range of toys that re-kindle fond memories for many of us and dont have an 'on switch'. Over time, the range has expanded but the ethos remains, we want to encourage children to be hands on and add a dollop of imagination to all the toys we sell. There is nothing more tactile than a wooden toy. As a Daddy to two girls, I have built our reputation for excellence in customer service, which really boils down to doing what you say you are going to do when you say you are going to do it. So each customer is treated as I would want to be treated when I make a purchase and believe me the standard is very high. This approach has won us awards, but more importantly it has won us an army of fans that know they can rely on us not to let them down.
