About Us

Out & About is a mobility and independent living specialist our aim is to help our customers retain their independence and live life to the full. When we opened in 2010 we made a very conscious decision to ‘stay local’, and work to meet the needs of the community of which we are a part. Our showroom is located on Southview Rise in Alton with parking directly outside. We serve customers from surrounding villages and towns within a 25 mile radius: from Winchester and Basingstoke, Farnborough, through Aldershot, Farnham and Guildford to Petersfield.

Whether you visit our showroom, call us or arrange for a home visit, we take time to listen to you and make sure we understand your needs so we can help you find a solution. To ensure you receive the best possible advice, Out & About likes to work in partnership with others who can help – GP’s, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and other specialists.

But of course it’s not just about providing advice and products to meet the needs of customers, it’s also about ensuring customers have the security of knowing that if something breaks down the problem can be sorted quickly. Our commitment does not end with a sale. We’re always on hand to answer your questions as and when needed and to service and repair your mobility equipment, new or old. If anything should go wrong with any piece of equipment anybody already has or which they purchased elswhere, as a local business we’re on hand to provide assistance and to service, repair or replace equipment as quickly and efficiently as possible.

Our success depends on having satisfied customers who spread the word and it’s due to their endorsements that we are part of Hampshire County Council’s “Buy with Confidence” approved retailer scheme.
